Womens Reproductive Health in Our 20's |

As a woman, I understand that it's important to get regular check ups from a womens health specialist (a.k.a. gynecologist) on an annual basis.
I also understand that as a woman who is in her 20's, I'm at low risk for cancer in relation to womens reproductive health. I've read many medical journals that have stated this fact. I've also purchased womens health fitness magazines to stay on top of the game.
However, I've also seen some of my friends, barely in their twenties, experience some trials and tribulations concerning womens reproductive health. One woman received news of a benign lump on her breast and another woman received early news of cervical cancer. Since, I've experienced issues with womens reproductive health through watching my own friends, I've realized the importance of receiving womens reproductive health check-ups no matter what age you are.
Even though womens reproductive health illnesses are not as common in your 20's, you can't truly depend on a statistic to tell you whether or not you should go to a womens health specialist. In the end, it's up to you. However, I've learned it's best to stay safe and catch issues early on.
